As we tentatively tiptoe out of lockdown and out of the door, I’m looking at what to wear, right now. I’m changing my habits, slightly, and finding my fashion feet again. Our ever-changeable weather means there is still a need for warm layers. It’s certainly not the time to go without a coat or something warm to throw on.
In today’s post, I will show you what I have been wearing to beat the chill. Everything I’ve featured is fail-safe options, which will be perfect for Spring. They are from my wardrobe plus a few new additions, to spice things up. These are items that are comfortable and stylish, for anyone’s closet. They enable me to get ready without having to think about it. They are my staples, and whenever I wear them, they make me feel good. Hopefully, they will inspire you if you are looking for some ideas.
The coatigan, blazer and shirt in today’s post are from “Mint Velvet” (they are old favourites), a brand you can always rely on for superb quality. The jeans are from “& Other Stories” and “Warehouse”. The Breton top is from “Boden”. It’s “preloved”. I managed to buy it on Depop for £12.00. The bag is by Michael Korrs – it’s over ten years old.

Our time for layers is almost over but I have really enjoyed wearing my denim jackets. Now is time for dresses and shorts here. Love the breton tops, I am getting more striped tops.

Can’t go wrong with Breton stripes, I find them so flattering and summery. Apparently, we have warmer
weather coming at the weekend in the UK. I do hope so, as it’s been so cold. Enjoy the rest of your week.
These are all timeless pieces! Those jeans fit you so well and are really flattering! You got them for such a steal!

I searched for quite a while to find the straight leg jeans – pure luck, that they
were in the sale. Have a good weekend.x
I love the flared jeans. And the long cardigan. I’m enjoying blazer weather too. Barely got to wear them last year. Have a lovely weekend xx

I picked a few items up last year too, then like you I didn’t get a
chance to wear them, hopefully, our steps out of lockdown will continue, back
to normality – or as near to it as we can. xx
I will forever love stripes! Those are both such great looks – I really love your neutral coat too!
Life is a Shoe
Love the double-breasted jacket. I have one in denim and will take it out of the closet to update the look.

Thank you so much. This coat was such a great buy – hope you’re having a lovely weekend.xx
I love how easy outfit creation becomes with a few classic staples! Those jeans are so fun. I recently got a similar pair and they are really comfortable and quickly became favorites. Also, you have inspired me to get out some of my Breton stripes. I have gone through phases with them and most are packed away somewhere. But it is such a fun, classic spring and summer style! Thanks for linking with me, my friend.
