What I’m wearing right now: A classic camel coat with florals

Neutrals worn in the correct way are perfect for making a statement and can add a cool “edge” to any outfit. It’s a perfect look for those, like myself, who enjoy a fuss-free look.

We haven’t had freezing cold temperatures so far (there’s still time) but, it’s something about this cool weather that makes me want to live in my dressing gown – which is probably why I have a thing for coats – is that the connection?

One of my most favourite neutral items is the timeless camel coat, a wardrobe staple which can be worn, again and again. So, I’ve been looking for the perfect one, for a while.

Jarvis – wanting some love!

Not a lot to ask, but I’ve found the search to be tricky. The ones I fancy are often rather expensive or sold out. So, when I saw this one from Marks and Spencer, I was immediately smitten. I love the length, super soft wool and classic cut making it an ideal capsule wardrobe addition. I also managed to get 20% discount off, so definitely a “win-win”. The full price is £149.00.

I’d forgotten what a versatile addition the camel coat is to anyone’s wardrobe. Since buying it, I’ve worn it a lot – it screams “chic” and it elevates an outfit from uninteresting to stylish, which makes it such a classic. This is a “forever” coat so I really wanted to get it right.

Warehouse floral dress £52.00

In the pics, I have styled my camel coat with a floral dress which I bought in the Warehouse UK concession which is located inside Fenwick’s (Newcastle). I had a voucher to spend (prezzie from one of my sons) who doesn’t want to enter the scary territory of buying his mum clothes. Luckily there was 30% discount, at the time. The dress ended up costing me £16.00, in total. To me, this is the perfect midi-dress. The print attracted me, plus, I love the style and fit. The split also stops it feeling too sensible. I’ve worn it with navy tights and suede ankle boots. I have worn it quite a lot since and noticed it is back in stock with 30% off. I have taken some pics of various ways I have styled it. This dress will be a perfect transitional piece to take me into Spring–Summer.

Wearing my blue Cashmere sweater.

Thank you for reading my post. I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments.
