Five Ways To Wear My Women’s Leather Jacket – Blazer From “The Jacket Maker”.

IMG 2820 Midlife and BeyondRecently, I have enjoyed styling my on-trend real leather jackets for women from The Jacket Maker.  It is such a versatile item – one that I have “style-stalked” on social media for several years. But, I’ve never found the right one to suit me, until now. Once you find “the” leather jacket for your style, it can last a lifetime. I have a few old favourites I’ve collected, over the years. They hang in the downstairs cupboard, ready to pop on for a trip to the pub, a more dressy affair, or even a pop to the local shop, for milk. They are never packed away with seasonal favourites because my leather jackets are worn, all year around, unless there’s a heatwave. And, here in the UK, that is a rare occurrence.

Firstly, I’d like to tell you a little bit about the company, “The Jacket Maker”, itself, and how my jacket was created.

“The Marilyn Leather Blazer”

The Jacket Maker” is a direct-to-consumer fashion brand that offers fair-priced, superbly crafted leather goods of the finest quality. They are best known for their men’s and women’s leather jackets offering a premium service to their customers and committing to provide personalised bespoke options. The outcome of this dedication is the perfect match for you. I’m pleased I had an idea of which style I wanted as their website has such an impressive range to choose from.

The Jacket Maker –  Women’s Jackets

When I had made my choice of which blazer to go for, I submitted my full measurements – my height, waist, bust etc. This enabled their experts to customise the jacket to my shape. So, there was no risk of incorrect sizing which I found to be so reassuring and impressive, giving me “peace of mind”. I had every confidence that my jacket would fit, perfectly, and, as you can see, it does. I am a UK size 12 (10 US). So, I went for a 12-14 as I wanted a slightly oversized look. This level of personalisation ensures that each jacket is unique and a true reflection of the wearer’s individual style.

The Jacket Maker stands out as a premier direct fashion brand that is fair-priced. Their products are the finest leather, which I can vouch for, because my jacket is the softest leather, making it extremely comfortable.

Leather jackets are once more a mainstay for Autumn/Winter 2024, thanks to their ability to enhance any outfit as well as offer warmth and durability.  Since receiving my leather blazer, I have enjoyed trying it with various items I already have in my wardrobe. The cut of my blazer, as you can see, is sublime – I love the casual look of the jacket, open, or the streamlined look, when fastened. The black leather buttons finish the look off, perfectly. This versatile jacket can be worn in so many ways.

I’m looking forward to wearing it with my silver sequinned skirt as well as adding my cashmere scarf, in future months.

Here, I’m pairing my blazer with a midi dress, one which I bought from “Zara”, five years ago.  If you are a regular to my blog, you will have noticed this dress a few times.

Outfit Two

As leather jackets are synonymous with rock and roll rebels and heart-throbs, I’ve brought out my music genre tee-shirt for this look, not that The Beatles were ever thought of as being hellraisers.  Any tee looks great under this jacket.

Dressed up a little for this outfit.  This is one of the slip skirts I wore in my last post (“Zara”, Current stock).  The contrast of sequins, satin and leather made a good combination of rich textures.  I find the longline design of this jacket very flattering and worn, unbuttoned, gives a loose-fitting, slouchy look.

This jacket will be one of my “most worn” items, transcending every season. Here, it adds a polished finish to my blue jeans. But, it can elevate any outfit. The Third Piece Rule (as stylists call it) comes into play, here, meaning we have our top, bottom and this jacket (third piece), finishing off this whole look, making it “more!!!!!”….. Pick the right jacket and you will get your money’s worth – an investment piece, but, well worth the outlay.

For my final outfit, I have chosen my ancient – but, still a favourite of mine – wrap dress, which works well.  The various ways I have styled this jacket throughout this post show this leather blazer’s versatility and wearable style. This made the jacket easy for me to play around with. A great jacket can elevate any outfit, and this jacket does that, and more.

That’s such a versatile blazer that looks good with everything! Love all of the outfits but particularly the slip skirt and Beatles tee. That’s definitely an investment piece that’ll keep on giving!

Alison What a lovely jacket you have there, it looks so good and stylish, particularly like it with that Beatles top. I believe you can always tell the difference between so called faux or vegan leather, I wonder if these oil based alternatives will be as durable as your leather one or end up in landfill.

  3. This is such a wonderful jacket and looks super on you. I saw it on IG and now I really want one in brown xx Do join my linkup tomorrow Alison. Jacqui x

  4. Oh, so many fabulous looks with just one blazer! You are so right that, if you find the right one, it will go with just about anything! I especially love it with the sequins and satin but equally as well as the jeans and Beatles tee! Just gorgeous!
